Civil Engineer

Location: New York, NY

  • Work with a team of professionals to support our New York City civil site engineering projects
  • Assist in the preparation of permitting, design and construction documents
  • Prepare Schematic Design, Design Development, and Construction Contract Documentation
  • Technical and Design Report writing
  • Provide support with business development and client relations
  • Attend meetings with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to establish their needs and discuss design/permitting issues with them
  • Responsible for quality of work output

Skills and Abilities:

  • Have knowledge of and experience in all aspects of civil engineering for both public and private clients, providing engineering for grading and drainage design, utility design, rail corridor design, and roadway layout
  • Have a solid understanding of the public and private utility owners within the 5 boroughs of NYC.
  • Experience with NYC Maintenance and Protection of Traffic
  • Experience using Bently Microstation and Inroads
  • Have experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Have experience preparing engineering design drawings
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to think critically


  • Bachelors in Civil Engineering and between 6 to 8 years of civil engineering experience, with some experience occurring within the private sector
  • Must have a New York State Professional Engineering License
  • Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microstation Inroads
